Our iron/wedge fitting begins with an interview, This interview aids your fitter in understanding how your irons are performing and gives you an opportunity to discuss any issues that you might currently have.
Then we take detailed measurements from your existing irons including length, shaft flex, loft, lie angle and swing weight. We then enter this information into our the Cool Clubs S3 fitting software.
Once analysed this information will shed light on any issues that you may be having with your existing clubs. Inconsistencies in off the shelf clubs are a major factor in inconsistently struck irons, distance gapping issues and unsuitable feel for you as a player.
Now it’s time to hit some shots. We use Trackman® together with our Cool Clubs’ S3 fitting software to give a 3 dimensional view of your ball flight and swing dynamics all hitting onto the range.
With this information and the knowledge of our master fitter we can arrive at the best combination of club head and shafts to suit your individual swing.
All the data we capture from shots you hit is recorded and after this stage of testing and analysis we will be able to determine the best combinations of club heads and shafts for you.
It is important to remember that while your irons are typically purchased separate from your wedges it is essential that they match your wedges. Correct lofts, sole grinds and bounce are factors to consider when working through this process.
We aim to demonstrate the results you desire. At the end of your fitting we will provide a recommendation to you showing the best performing head and shaft combination.
We maintain a large selection of iron heads and shafts.
Most heads come in Straight and Upright to ensure the best possible outcome from your fitting session.
Note: All heads are available in Standard (Std), Upright (Up) or Flat (Flt).
We can Bend any head during fitting if required to get the right lie..
When you come for any fitting at Cool Clubs be sure to bring all your golf clubs, golf shoes and your glove. Wear clothes that you normally golf in and be prepared to have a good time.
